Kimmona Kannigan
DIRECTOR

Kimmona holds a LLB degree from the University of South Africa and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2013. Kimmona has extensive experience in Banking Law and Commercial Recoveries and sits on a number of Education Trusts for various corporates including JSE listed entities.

She is a member of the Business Women’s Association South Africa, and an accredited member of the World Youth Alliance (“WYA”) which is affiliated to the United Nations. She frequently acts as an Independent Legal Analyst for SABC News and ENCA providing clarity and analysis on prevalent legal issues and prolific cases. 

Michele Kester
SENIOR LEGAL SECRETARY

Michele Kester has 18 years of experience as a legal secretary. Having worked alongside attorneys in the Petroleum Sector Michele acquired substantial experience in this industry including Drafting of Lease Agreements, Retail Dealer Agreements and Operating Lease Agreements as well as assisting with Eviction Applications.

Over the last few years Michele has acquired substantial experience in the Banking Sector including Specialised Recoveries and Debt Review Litigation. Michele is currently Senior Legal Secretary in the Debt Review Litigation department.

Tessa Khumalo
SENIOR LEGAL SECRETARY

Tessa holds a diploma in conveyancing from the Gawie Le Roux Institute of Law. She has worked in the legal industry for the last seven years at law firms in Nelspruit and Johannesburg. Her experience ranges across RAF; Conveyancing; General Litigation and Banking Law. Tessa is currently a Senior Legal Secretary in the specialized recoveries department. 

Fadeelah Haniff
OFFICE MANAGER

Fadeelah spent the last sixteen years in the legal industry and has gained extensive experience within the Banking Law Sector. She has experience in Banking Law, Commercial Litigation, Debt Collections, Foreclosures, Evictions,  Deceased Estates and Debt Review.

Fadeelah is currently a Senior Legal Secretary in the Corporate and Debt Review Opposed departments.

Barsha Tootla
LEGAL CONSULTANT

Barsha was admitted as an attorney in 1986. Shortly after her admission as an attorney Barsha joined BP Southern Africa at their Johannesburg office as an in- house junior legal advisor. She was promoted to senior legal advisor within 2 years.Subsequent to her position at BP Southern Africa Barsha joined Amalgamated Retail Limited and thereafter migrated back to the oil and gas sector pursuant to her appointment at Engen Petroleum Limited as their legal advisor for their Inland and Gauteng Region where her duties ranged from overseeing the Litigation matters, to providing legal services to the various business streams including Property, Retail Marketing and Franchise, Company and Commercial, Credit (including Liquidations and Business Rescue), Aviation, Environmental, Competition, Trademarks and Patents, and Labour Law and Human Resources Divisions. She gained extensive litigation experience in the High Court, the Appeals Court and the Constitutional Court.Barsha’s extensive knowledge in the oil and gas industry as well as her litigation background has made her an invaluable asset in terms of her current role as a consultant.

Terona Kannigan
CONSULTANT

Terona holds a qualification in Financial Management from UNISA. She manages a portfolio of various companies and works extensively in the entertainment industry in the field of finance and operations. Her extensive travels broadened her perspective in terms of business and entrepreneurial development. Terona is currently a Consultant at Kannigan Attorneys Incorporated and manages the Human Resources and Finance Portfolio.
